Half a century of textile craft, now serving the modern yogi.

Karur is one of India’s oldest weaving clusters — a town where looms have hummed in family courtyards for generations. Cheran Soft Goods was founded here in 1972 as a home-textile manufacturer, supplying woven fabrics to Indian and international markets.

Today, the third generation continues that craft, with one focused intention: to manufacture the finest organic cotton yoga and meditation goods in the world. Every bolster, zafu, and zabuton we ship carries the discipline of fifty years of textile work behind it.

Most yoga-prop factories in India started after 2000, riding the wellness wave. We started in 1972 as a textile house, and our depth in fabric, dyeing, and finishing is something newer competitors cannot replicate. Three generations have refined what we do; the founder’s grandson runs the business today.

Other factories also make hotel linens, kitchen textiles, and bedding alongside yoga props. We don’t. Yoga and meditation goods are our entire focus — nothing else. The result is sharper specifications, better fabric choices, and a team that knows your category as well as you do.
